How the Holt Area Partnership makes a difference
The main way that the Holt Area Partnership is able to help the local population is through supporting the delivery of a wide range of projects and encouraging partnerships. The projects are set up to respond to needs and they aim to provide tangible benefits to the area.

Projects may be social, economic or environmental – or all three! And they also have to be as cost-effective and sustainable as possible.

The church of St Mary the Virgin stands in the parkland of Barningham Hall on the outskirts of the village of Matlaske. The church dates from the 14th century. The nave and tower have been in ruins since the early 17th century. The present building consists of the 14 century chancel with Victorian additions. The ruined tower contains a unique Victorian steel bell, one of only two in the county. The church and its ruins are most picturesque and have been used in recent film and TV recordings.

For more details please visit www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/barninghamwinter/barninghamwinter.htm

The church is part of the Barningham Benefice and two services are held here each month. For details please look in the Village Diary.
